US Tour Dates and more

We have some of our US tour dates confirmed and up on our myspace (www.myspace.com/getonthehorse) and the 20 Buck Spin double CD release will be ready to go in the next few weeks, keep an eye out at www.20buckspin.com for news on that. Looks like we are playing some killer shows with bands such and Asunder, Book Of Black Earth, Unearthly Trance, Destructo Swarmbots, Iron Lung, Wormwood, Giant Squid, La Fin Du Monde, Silentist, River Runs Black, Angel Of Decay, Ocean, Death By A Thousand Cuts and more!...

New Drummer, Upcoming Release and US Tour

So we have over the last month or so been jamming with Rob Mayson (Grey Daturas / EOH / Bone Sheriff / Breathing Shrine etc.) playing drums and things are coming together well.

Yeap has been busy with Pisschrist and ABC Weapons, Simon has been playing some Bone Sheriff shows (with Mayson), Pete has been grinding away with 731 while Grover has been working on solo material for release on Sabbatical and DJing around the traps as DJ Disinfect while True Radical Miracle plays the odd show here and there.

We are mid-way through getting the artwork together for the double cd release on 20 Buck Spin and also have been talking with friends around the US putting the first motions into booking a tour between the 29th of June and 14th of July. Whitehorse Summer

So we had an awesome time at Maggotsville in Sydney on the weekend, and Metal For The Brain was fun too, first time on such a huge stage was pretty crazy.

So there are a few items of big news on the band front.

Our good friend and drummer from rehearsal two Emile had made the big decision to relocate to Los Angeles. He will be leaving mid November. As a result Whitehorse in now working on some re-structuring. So we won't be playing shows for a while.

We will over summer begin work on our first studio recording. We are approaching this in pretty different manner than we have with past Whitehorse songwriting so we are not sure what to expect but we are pretty excited about the process.

In the meantime Sweat Lung (the label run but Whitehorse vocalist Pete) will no longer be releasing the cd version of Fire To Light The Way / Everything Ablaze (released on 12" by Conspiracy Records, Belgium) or The Unwelcome Return cd as previously announced.

We are now currently discussing a release with 20 Buck Spin Records which will be a double cd collection. Disc one will have Fire To Light The Way / Everything Ablaze and The Unwelcome Return. The second disc will be a re-mastered version of our first release West Of The Sun / Oceans Turn To Black. This will be released sometime in the new year.

WHITEHORSE this weekend

Our first show in 5 months or so. We also play Sydney at Maggotville on the 3rd of Novemeber and Metal For The Brain on the 4th of Novermber in Canberra.

I opened my email this morning and was excited to see these phots of the finished Whitehorse 12" on Conspiracy Records. Artwork by Brent Stegeman. This should be available from Conspiracy now, we will only be getting a few copies so if you want one you are best off contacting Conspiracy.

Whitehorse at Metal For The Brain / Sydney Show.

Whitehorse have been added to the Metal For The Brain 2006 line up. This event takes place on November 4th in Canberra. Check out the M4TB website for line up details.

Whitehorse will also be playing a show in Sydney on Friday the 3rd of November with Schifosi, Captain Cleanoff, Vae Victis, Crux and Predominant Slug. These will be our first interstate shows for over a year which is totally crazy ... we are really looking forward to it...

Pete from Whitehorse has also started a new grind band called 731 with members of Fallout, Sense Of Purpose, Terror Firma, Demonother and Odiusembowel, they play thier first show on the 22nd of September with Damage Digital (Japan), Dad They Broke Me and Aeroflot at Pony in Melbourne City. They also play Pony on the 14th of October with Justice Yelham, Sir and more.

The 12" on Conspiracy Records is almost ready to go the release date is 28th of September.
The Unwelcome Return cd on Sweat Lung will be following a few weeks after.
